Young came back to Los Angeles where she landed parts such as Cathy Metsker, Mel Gibson Madeleine Stowe & Greg Kinnear's We Were Soldiers; and Rachel for JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3 which starred Tom Cruise & Keri russe. Megan Griffiths directed her in the 2016 crime thriller The Night Stalker about serial murderer Richard Ramirez. Next, in 2016, she played in the film alongside Jim Rash and David Koechner as a character supporting the independent film Bernard and Huey. In the year 2018, she was a part in Disney's live-action adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time alongside Oprah Winfrey Reese Witherspoon Mindy Kaling.
