Katherine Heigl has opened up about her childhood in "a white bubble." She also explains how that realization has affected the way she raises adopted children that are multiracial. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl admitted that she didn't care about her complexion until she got to know her adoptive sister who was from South Korea. "I inquired of Meg how she was that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and those who went out by herself. Meg responded "Oh, yes, every moment!" Heigl addressed Parents about the moment she realised her ignorance. According to the actor, she became angered. However, she wanted to channel that anger towards helping her adopted girls. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old old and is Black in 2012.
