Felicity Jones was born in England and is most well-known as the actress who played Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones started acting at age 12 and worked on numerous TV shows, plays and movies. Her career began with the TV film The Treasure Seekers. Her popularity grew due to her role in films such as The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However, it was her role as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything that earned her the Oscar for the very first time. The biopic was inspired by the scientist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was highly praised by viewers and critics for her impeccable portrayal of Hawking's former wife. Inferno is the Tom Hanks-starred thriller. Jones was awarded the title British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her outstanding talent and contribution to cinema.
